Nothing to Say

On April 4, 2024, the “Nothing to Say” workshop took place at the Agimi Art Center, bringing together young artists and their mentors for an in-depth exploration of performance as an artistic medium. The workshop was led by multidisciplinary artists Blendi Shahu and Burim Tafilica, who shared their extensive knowledge and experience with the participants.

The first part of the workshop featured a detailed presentation by the two artists, showcasing inspiring examples from international artists who have experimented with and pushed the boundaries of performance art. Following this, Shahu and Tafilica shared works from their portfolios, offering personal insights and reflections on the challenges and possibilities within this dynamic medium.

After a short coffee break, the participants had the opportunity to dive into the practical aspects of performance. The Agimi Art Center transformed into a creative laboratory where young artists experimented with ideas and techniques under the guidance of the mentors. This interactive segment provided a space for improvisation and the creation of experimental performances, with moments of the process documented through short videos and photographs.

The workshop concluded with a reflective discussion, where participants shared their impressions and experiences, emphasizing the value of creating and exchanging ideas in a collaborative space. This initiative was celebrated as a unique experience for emerging artists, fostering inspiration and professional growth.
