3DBi Beats Apple T Antenna G5 Tower AirPort Extreme A1066 CH 603-3 For Sale
3DBi Antenna Kit For AGP G5s &; Early 2008 Mac Pro DOES NOT INCLUDE Apple T Antenna T Antenna For Comparison Only PLEASE DO NOT BID/BUY-IT-NOW if You Are Located in WA; I DO NOT SELL or SHIP Items Within Washington. 3DBi G5 AirPort Antenna Kit For ALL Single-Core AGP PowerMac G5 Tower Systems: SP (Single Processor) or DP (Dual-Processor) SP 1.6GHz SP 1.8GHz DP 1.8GHz DP 2.0GHz DP 2.3GHz DP 2.5GHz DP 2.7GHz Interchangeable with Apple Part Numbers A1066 CH, 603-3420, 922-6043. Not For PowerMac Dual-Core G5 Towers (Late 2005 PCI-Express Models). Not For Pre 2008 Mac Pros (Late 2005 PCI-Express Models). The Apple “T” Antennas are used with the AirPort Extreme cards in G5 AGP Towers to add/join wireless networking almost anywhere in your building (up to 50 feet at 54 Mbps). These antennas are pretty small, maybe 2DBi gain, and REALLY hard to find at anything near a reasonable price. So I spent a GOOD DEAL of spare time hunting around for alternatives, and could find none; but finally came up with these. A small 3DBi Antenna with an adapter so it can be plugged into the back of your Mac. As You can see from the Pics, these are a bit Bigger than the Apple “T” Antenna, but are still light enough to easily be hung off the antenna port at the back of the Mac. Since the Macs Aluminum Case is pretty much just a Large Grounded RF-Block (as with the Apple T antenna), you’ll get the best reception if you can arrange things so the antenna (or back of the Mac) has an imaginary “Line-Of-Site” to the router that is NOT Blocked by the Mac itself, Electrical Sub-Panels or things like Metal File-Cabinets Refrigerators and Gun-Safes. This can be accomplished a bit easier with these because the antenna can be set to different angles off the mount-shaft, and they’re also light enough to be rotated and keep their position. If you want to create your own wireless network in your home or business you can add an AirPort Extreme Base Station to communicate between your AirPort and AirPort Extreme-ready systems as well as the Internet; Or if you already have a wired dedicated G4/G5 Gateway/Proxy/NAT/Server machine that is left on 24/7 you could easily add an AirPort Extreme Card along with an antenna, to create your own 802.11g wireless network. MDD G4s are pretty good for this, but a G5 with lots of memory, running Leopard with a good external after-market antenna and an AirPort Extreme card makes for an optimal 802.11g base-station/router/gateway/proxy-server/firewall machine. With Leopard, you can install one of these cards, go to the networking section in system preferences, turn on the card, give it an ip address that’s in your internal ip range, use the little pull down menu and pick Create Network. come up with a name for the network, choose your security options, once you have the airport extreme card setup, you then go to the “sharing” section in systems preferences, and turn on internet sharing for the airport card. Bingo, you have just added a wireless network to your already existing wired network (Boy Howdy, ain’t UNIX with a Mac GUI a wonderful thing). PLEASE DO NOT BID/BUY-IT-NOW if You Are Located in WA; I DO NOT SELL or SHIP Items Within Washington. UPS is a bit of a drive for me, and they are only open for limited/odd hours around here, for most items it’s simply not worth my time, scheduling problems gas, and traffic hassles to drive out of town to ship things with UPS. The post office is much closer, and open regular business hours, which makes it much easier for me to get things there. When comparing prices, UPS and the Post Office seem to be very close, but adding in the cost of boxes, (which the post office supplies for free) time and gas to drive over to UPS, it seems the post office is generally a better deal. Seems like sending this in the Small size USPS priority mail flat-rate box with tracking for $5.75 is a bit expensive. It should be fairly safe wrapped in bubblewrap packaged in a Cardboard and Rigid Foam Sleeve, in a bubblemailer. First Class Postage for this varies with distance, so I’m just going to include First-Class mail in the price. Shipping to USA only, mostly because I don’t want to spend time at post office finding and filling out forms. If You want more than one item, or You want to check on Slower/Cheaper shipping, don’t use the PayPal “Buy Now” button, send me an email about what You want, along with Your shipping info, and I’ll figure out the shipping cost for You. Unconfirmed Addresses &; PayPalPayPal, Payments will only be accepted if transaction is fully eligible for seller Protection. If You have a PayPal account, You can Confirm your address with PayPal by Either having them send postal mail (with code numbers/letters) to the address you want confirmed, then go to the PayPal site and entering the code they have sent you, or by adding a credit card to your PayPal account that has a “Billing Address” matching the address you want to have as a “PayPal Confirmed Address”. If You DO NOT have a PayPal Account, You must use a Credit Card that has a Billing Address matching the shipping address you are entering in PayPal. I would like to put a contact link in here, but don’t want the spam-bots getting info off web pages, and flooding my in-box with garbage. So You’ll have to do a bit of cut/paste, sorry for the trouble. Name is christian_g then there is that little round symbol with the “a” inside, and provider is fastmail. net. US Shipping ONLY.
