hope you can compare the top satellite phones in terms of. . .
1. price of the unit
2. price per minute for outgoing calls
3. quality of calls (choppy, unclear, etc. )
4. quality of signal (gets connected easily, don’t have to go outside your room just to get a signal, etc. )
5. where you can buy it?
many thanks.

Hi Ano,
You are talking high dollar both for the phone and the usage. Do you want to buy or rent. Short term or long. Without knowing that it is hard to advise you. It is easy to spend $2000.00 for a phone and $1.00 a minute for use.
Here is a good place to check phones – http://www.globalcomsatphone.com/

Different phones have different coverage areas. Just saying “ocean” isn’t sufficeint enough to know what companies will have coverage for wha tpart of what ocean.
Here’s a link to a good explanation of the differences and coverage areas of many of the leading satellite phones, many of the costs and other isseus you talked about as well as where to buy them.
