Why don’t you just turn off the tracking feature?
Every phone gives you the option of going incognito so it can’t be traced via GPS

well i know some metals can infact block radio signals so yeah it might work. put it in and call the cell chances are that if you can hear it ring its still working. if you have a lead linned safe you should be good.

Slight misunderstanding here. The GPS satellites do not themselves track phones. All they do is provide signals which the GPS-enabled phone uses to calculate its own position. What happens after that is up to you, but some apps use that result to position you on a map or to send that position to a tracking centre. That part happens through the cell phone system, not via the satellites. The cellphone system itself can provide an approximate location for the phone, based on signal strengths to one or more towers. You can disable GPS apps, but you cannot prevent that second location process unless you switch the phone off or move out of range.

Cant you turn off the GPS tracking feature?
Cant you just… god forbid… turn the phone off?
You cant totally prevent tracking anyway. GPS can isolate your location to within a few feet. But cell-tower triangulation will still pin you to within a hundred feet. As long as you use a device which actively sends out signals, this will always be a problem for the paranoid. Stick to grocery store phone booths.
